Sprinklers piping

General notes

Sprinklers piping run above suspended ceiling using pendant sprinkler heads to protect space under suspended ceiling. To protect space between ceiling and suspended ceiling upright sprinkler heads shall be used. Sprinkler system shall be hydraulically calculated: Density of application of water: light hazard occupancies ordinary hazard group 1 ordinary hazard group 2. No pipe penetrations of structural members, except as noted, is permitted without the approval of the structural engineer. Pipe penetrations of fire or smoke partitions or walls shall be made fire and smoke tight. Sprinkler system shall be designed and installed by contractor in accordance with nfpa 13 and 13r. Sprinkler head locations shall be field verified by the contractor. A contractor submittal showing all sprinklers shall be submitted for approval in accordance with the specifications. Above ground water piping shall be black steel piping conforming to uni 8863 norms. Buried water piping shall be black steel piping conforming to uni en 10224 - 2003 norms, coated against corrosions. Sprinkler discharge area: Area shall be the idraulically most remote 280m2 as defined in nfpa 13. Provide concrete thrust block and rod and anchor in accordance with nfpa 24

Sprinkler riser brace

Seismic bracing details. Provide on cross mains and feed mains - space at 12m maximum at right angle to piping. Suspended ceiling: Test valve in readily accessible location smooth bore corrosion resistant outlet giving flow equivalent to one sprinkler; System test connection detail. Fire protection legend:
