DESIGNING OF VENTILATION AUTOMATION SYSTEM

Automation schemes of supply and exhaust systems, as well as control cabinets

This working documentation was developed on the basis of:

- technical design specifications;

- tasks from adjacent sections;

- initial data for design issued by the customer.

To control the supply and exhaust ventilation systems, the project has developed control cabinets based on Siemens Desigo controllers, these cabinets are installed in the ventilation chamber rooms and perform:

- power supply systems from projected control panels;

- control of units of systems from control panels in manual mode;

- control of systems from the ARM controller in the control room;


- the work of systems for temporary programs in the automatic control mode;

- interlocked start-up of the corresponding exhaust fans with the inclusion of general exchange inlet ventilation systems;

- the use of ABB frequency converters to adjust the performance of powerful fan motors with direct drive on the shaft, which also eliminates possible current surges and overloads in the power grid when the ventilation system is turned on;

- interlocked opening of air dampers when the supply direct-flow systems are turned on;

- control the degree of pollution of air filters;

- air damper actuators on air handling units are equipped with a return spring for quick closing in case of freezing of the water heater;

- double protection of water heaters of air handling units against freezing in the winter and transitional period: on the return water temperature and on the air temperature after the heater;

- Preheating of water heaters of air handling units before starting systems in the winter and transitional periods;

- alarm on the operation and emergency situations of systems on the front panels of control panels;

- alarm on the operation and emergency situations of ventilation systems, measurement data from all sensors, the status of inputs and outputs of the controller modules on the display of the ARM controller console;

PROJECT DOCUMENTATION OF THE AOB VENTILATION AUTOMATION SYSTEM

- for ventilation systems in the winter and the transitional period in the daytime, the systems operate on a forward flow with maintaining the desired supply air temperature using the automatic valve control in the water heater circuit. At night, the systems are turned off. In the serviced areas of the car parks, the degree of air pollution by exhaust gases is monitored; at night, when the CO concentration is exceeded, ventilation is carried out by switching on the appropriate ventilation system depending on the contaminated zone;

- in the summer period, the ventilation systems of the parking lot during the day function without air treatment (except cleaning), they are turned off at night; when the CO concentration in the zone is exceeded, airing is performed at night by switching on the appropriate ventilation system depending on the contaminated zone.

For installation of signal circuits and control circuits, cables of the type VVGng-HF are used,

KVVGng-HF, KPPGEng (A) -ND. These cables are laid in metal boxes and corrugated pipes.

All metal cabinets and equipment must be grounded.
