DESIGNING THE TRANSFORMER SUBSTATION

The working documentation for the construction of a transformer substation (TP) has been developed according to the technical conditions. A transformer substation is built into an underground parking lot. Transformer chambers are located at mark. -6.700, room RU 10 kV - at mark. -6.900. Rolling out of transformers and leaving the premises of 10 kV switchgear is envisaged in the parking area.

2. Specifications.

Rated primary voltage - 10 kV;

Rated secondary voltage - 0.4 / 0.23 kV;

RUVN rated current - 630 A;

Rated power of the transformer is 2500 kVA;

3. Power transformers,

In the transformer substation there are two dry transformers with a capacity of 2500 kVA each. To protect the windings from overheating, thermal protection is provided with action on the signal and shutdown. A vibration-absorbing plate is provided for damping vibrations arising during operation. 
4. Switchgear 10 kV

To receive and distribute electrical energy of 10 kV in the transformer substation, the switchgear assembly of the RM6 switchgear is installed, the spreader device is chopped up with load switches, the cells of power transformers are cut off by relay protection devices of the VIP410E type. The switchgear switchgear-10 kV implements the automatic transfer switch function on the sectional load break switch. The power supply of the secondary switchgear circuits is provided from the automatic transfer switch cabinet.

5. Own needs. Lighting.

The TP’s own needs scheme includes:

- internal lighting TP;

- portable (emergency) lighting with a voltage of 12 V;

- the ability to connect 3 and 2 phase receivers, both stationary and mobile;

- backup lines.

The own power supply of the transformer substation is carried out from the 0.4 kV terminals of power transformers In both beams of the substation, boxes of own needs such as ShPSN-VU are installed. Lighting sources with 60 W incandescent lamps are provided as light sources in all premises. Lighting electrical wiring is performed using the VVGng-LS cable. Lighting control is performed by switches installed from the door handle not higher than 1.3 m from the floor level.

6. Ventilation.

In the proposed taking into account the limited dimensions of the room, the provision of natural forced-air ventilation for the removal of excess heat is impossible. In this connection, the draft project performs forced ventilation.

7. Grounding.

The grounding of the transformer substation is carried out in accordance with chapter 1.7 of the MTP 7 edition. The inner contour is single, all rooms are connected to each other by a steel strip with a section of 40x4. All housings of electrical equipment and metal structures must be connected to the internal ground loop with copper bare wire MG-25. Natural earths (f / 5 building foundation) and artificial earths are used as the grounding device. Artificial grounding consists of horizontal electrodes made of 4x40 steel strip and vertical electrodes from steel angle 50x5x5. To ensure low resistance of the grounding device, additional 30 mm long depth electrodes are made of steel pipe 0 = 100 mm with filling with table salt and graphite.

8. Health and safety.

The organization of operation of electrical installations includes a number of requirements and rules aimed at ensuring reliable, safe and rational operation of electrical installations. The service personnel must clearly and accurately represent the technological features of the electrical equipment being operated, be aware of and put into practice the main aspects of occupational health and safety in the operation of electrical installations, and the rules for first aid. TB measures are foreseen in the project in the scope of the Safety Rules for the operation of electrical installations of consumers and PUBs. The safe operation of the power facility is also ensured by compliance with regulatory documents, local instructions, norms and rules, as well as instructions of manufacturers of electrical equipment.

To ensure compliance with the conditions for reliable and safe operation of electrical installations, the project provides for the following fire safety measures:

- the chambers and compartments of the TP are divided among themselves by a solid partition made of non-combustible materials with a fire resistance of 45 minutes,

- all openings in ceilings, panels and cable blocks intended for laying cables (wires), and openings intended for temporary power supply are plugged with non-combustible materials.

- in the construction of the TP exits, doors and gates are provided that open outwards.

- electrical equipment and power distribution networks are protected by devices ensuring the immediate disconnection of damaged areas with regard to selectivity.

- the corresponding sections of the conductive parts of the equipment and methods of their installation were selected.

- selected appropriate brands of cables for power and lighting network that does not propagate burning, with sheath brand "ng".

It is prohibited:

- connect the electrical load beyond the permitted in the technical conditions, as well as increase the nominal value of currents of fuse-links, fuses and other protective devices and devices defined by documentation.

- change the electrical circuits and replace the protection devices with others with a higher rated current setting or selectivity.

- to include in the network obviously defective devices or devices with broken insulation.
