1. The design of the external MZS: - overheat - galvanized steel wire d = 8 mm, GOST 2590-88; - current lead - galvanized steel wire d = 8 mm, GOST 2590-88; - grounding conductor - steel strip 40x5 mm, GOST 103-76, corner steel 63x63x6 mm, GOST8509-93.

2. Lay the lightning-receiving net on the roof, following the dimensions of the cells in accordance with the drawing. Along the perimeter of the building, a lightning receiving grid is laid along the edge of the roof.

3. Metal elements protruding above the roof should be connected to the interception network, and protruding non-metal elements should be equipped with additional interception rods connected to the reception receiving network.

4. Interception rods and down-conductors are rigidly fastened to prevent any rupture or loosening of the conductor attachment under the influence of electrodynamic forces or accidental mechanical effects.

5. Weld all joints.

6. The earthing switch should be made in the form of an external circuit consisting of a 40x5 mm steel strip and vertical rods from a steel corner.

7. The intersection of the grounding with underground utilities to perform in the asbestos-cement pipe.

8. Connect the lightning earthing switch to the GZSH steel strip 40x5 mm.

PROJECT DOCUMENTATION MH Lightning Protection

The project provides for the equipping of buildings with an MZS lightning protection system. In accordance with the instructions for the installation of lightning protection adopted level of protection - III and reliability of protection - 0.9. To protect against direct lightning strikes, the project provides for an external MZS consisting of a lightning receiving grid, current leads. The light receiving network and current leads are made of a grounding conductor. galvanized steel wire d = 8 mm. The earthing switch is made of a steel strip of 5x40 mm and a corner of steel 63x63x6 mm. MZS is included in the general system of equalization of building potentials, thus achieving protection against secondary
